How to...

As part of the research for this project I looked at things like other leaflets that are handed to students for things like nights out and events happening through out the year. Posters/leaflets aimed at students tend to have quite a  playful look about them using cartoon illustrations sometimes. They also tend to be brightly coloured so they can be noticed and are more appealing to look at. They have quite a laid back approach to the design.

We also needed to consider the scale of the information we were going to present. This is an A6 leaflet, I found this wouldn't be appropriate for our particular idea because the information would be quite small which meant it would have to be looked at closer and I don't think this would be very appealing for students, although it would be handy.

Information aimed at students also tends to be limited even on this scale of A4. This is so its quick, straight to the point and doesn't become too boring to view. This is definitely one of the most important things i need to consider when designing my own poster because people need to stay interested in the information it contains.
